Born as Sara Velez Galeano in Medellin, Colombia, Rios is of Latin descent. Before she got her foot in the door in the porn industry, as a teen, Melanie use to watch porn and at 15 lost her virginity. In 2009 is when she started being in porn movies under her stage name. she has worked for such companies as Combat Zone, Smash Pictures, and Lethal Hardcore. She changed her name to Melanie Rios in January 2010. After only 3 years in the business, she retired in 2012.
